The end date of the period of time that the patient was not ready for care and/or treatment.
Elective surgery (admitted patient care). Specialist outpatient services (hospital non-admitted patient care). Community health care. This item is necessary to accurately calculate the number of patients waiting for care/treatment and the waiting time.
Valid date
This item is to be used by the hospital or community health service to record the end date of the patients not ready for care period.
The not ready for care end date must be later than or on the not ready for care start date
Patient administration systems (eg: HBCIS, CERNER) have dedicated elective surgery and outpatient modules to collect this data.
Patients are able to have more than one 'not ready for care - end date' recorded within the same listing period. Some Queensland Health patient administration systems restrict date storage to CCYYMMDD format eg: Oracle systems.
