Collection and Usage Attributes
Any method of pain relief used by the mother during labour/delivery that is not drug related.

This data element should be used in conjunction with the data element: Birth event-type of pharmacological analgesia administered to obtain information on the type of non-pharmacological analgesia administered to the mother during the labour and/or delivery.
Queensland Perinatal Data Collection (QPDC):
Must be 1, 2 or 9.
If code 2 (Yes), Birth event-type of non-pharmacological analgesia administered/used must be completed.
For national reporting of the Birth event-analgesia administered indicator data element the following mapping occurs:
Code 1 No is mapped to code 2 No.
Code 2 Yes is mapped to code 1 Yes.
Code 9 Not stated/unknown is mapped to code 9 Not stated/inadequately described.
