Anaesthesia includes any drug related method of pain relief used by the mother during labour/delivery.
Verification Rules 
Queensland Perinatal Data Collection (QPDC):
Must not be blank.
Must be 1, 2 or 9.
If code 2  Yes, Birth event-type of anaesthesia administered must be completed.

For national reporting of the Birth event-anaesthesia administered indicator (NHDD) data element the following mapping occurs:
