Must not be null when Birth event-main reason for caesarean section code (ICD-10-AM 9th edn) = Z352 (Supervision of pregnancy with other poor reproductive or obstetric history).
Must not be blank when method of birth = 04 (Lower Segment Caesarean Section (LSCS)) or 05 (Classical Caesarean Section).
Must be blank if method of birth = 10 (Vaginal), 02 (Forceps), 03 (Vacuum extractor), 98 (other methods), 99 (Not known/unknown).
