Collection and Usage Attributes
A patient who has failed to attend an appointment should result in a dated entry being made in the patient record indicating the patient's failure to attend the booked appointment.
Outpatient scheduling systems (eg HBCIS-Appointment Scheduling Module) can record a status of 'failed to attend' for a booked appointment.
This data element provides an indication of the system performance for strategic planning and policy direction.
