Reporting Requirements
QPDC reporting is mandatory and is prescribed in Schedule 4 of the HHS Service Agreements. Chapter 6, Part 1, of the Health Act 2005 requires perinatal data to be provided to the Chief Executive of Queensland Health for every baby born in Queensland. This information is required to be submitted to Statistical Services Branch (SSB) on a monthly basis. Information is supplied annually to the National Perinatal and Epidemiology Statistics Unit (at AIHW) under the National Health Information Agreement. The collection supports the reporting of data to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) for the Perinatal National Minimum Data Set (NMDS) and Perinatal Best Endeavours Data Set (NBEDS).
Frequency of Reporting Requirements
SSB - monthly. AIHW - annually.
