Collection and Usage Attributes
Queensland Hospital Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHAPDC):
Can be null.
Should only contain numeric digits.
Must not contain unidentified characters/symbols.
If not null then a minimum of 8 characters should be supplied.
Business telephone numbers should:
- be recorded as, prefix plus telephone number. For example, 0731822660
- not include non-numeric characters or spaces. For example, Ext123 or # 123.

For overseas persons, the country access code should be included at the beginning of the number.

If the person only has a mobile telephone (i.e. does not have a business landline telephone) this field should be left blank and the mobile number recorded in the Telephone number (mobile/cellular device) data element.
The collection of the telephone details of a person is desirable for follow up and to facilitate the conduct of satisfaction surveys at a later date.
