Collection and Usage Attributes
For service events delivered by telehealth, the service delivery setting is recorded as 1 for the provider's location, and 2 or 3 for the patient's location.

Code 2 - OFF - the hospital campus of the healthcare provider (another hospital)
Includes the 'other hospital' setting. This code is to be used to identify 'hospital outreach-type clinics'.

Code 3 - OFF - the hospital campus of the healthcare provider (other setting)
Includes settings such as:
- Community health or day centre or other community facilities;
- General practice surgeries or clinics;
- Residential aged care facilities; or
- Private residences.
The setting is from the point of view of the patient in relation to the healthcare provider who records the service event in the patient's medical record.

For national reporting of the Non-admitted patient service event-service delivery setting (NHDD) data element the following mapping applies:
Code 1 (ON - the hospital campus of the healthcare provider) is mapped to code 1 (On the hospital campus of the healthcare provider)
Codes 2 (OFF - the hospital campus of the healthcare provider (another hospital)) and 3 (OFF - the hospital campus of the healthcare provider (other setting)) are mapped to code 2 (Off the hospital campus of the healthcare provider)
Code 7 Not applicable is derived from records where
the Non-admitted patient service event-patient not present indicator is code 1 Yes,
the Non-admitted patient service event-multiple health care provider indicator is code 1 Yes and
the Non-admitted patient service event-corporate clinic code (CCC) is not for a home based procedure
or
where the Non-admitted patient service event-patient not present indicator is blank,
the Non-admitted patient service event-corporate clinic code (CCC) is for a home based procedure,
