Emergency Data Collection (EDC):
Data element is a valid date/time or blank.
Must not be blank unless Non-admitted patient ED service episode-episode end status is 4 (Did not wait), 7 (Dead on arrival) or 14 (Registered, triaged and referred elsewhere without receiving care). If Non-admitted patient ED service episode-episode end status is 4, 7 or 14 this data element must be null.
Must be equal to or after Emergency department stay-presentation date/time, and should be equal or after Non-admitted patient ED service episode-triage date/time, and must be before Non-admitted patient ED service episode-episode end date/time where that value is not null, and before Emergency department stay-physical departure date/time.
Collection Methods
Record the commencement date/time using the full date and leading zeroes where necessary. Time is to be provided in 24 hour format.
