Collection and Usage Attributes
Any drug related method of pain relief used by the mother during labour/delivery.

This data element should be used in conjunction with the data element 'Birth event-type of pharmacological analgesia administered' to obtain information on the type of pharmacological analgesia administered to the mother during the labour and/or delivery.
Queensland Perinatal Data Collection (QPDC):
Must not be blank.
If code 2 (Yes), Birth event-type of pharmacological analgesia administered must be completed.
For national reporting of the Birth event-analgesia administered indicator data element the following mapping occurs:
