Queensland Perinatal Data Collection (QPDC):
Must not be null when Product of conception-termination of pregnancy confirmed indicator is 2 (Yes).
Must be null when Product of conception-termination of pregnancy confirmed indicator is null.
Queensland Perinatal Data Collection (QPDC):
Perinatal death information is obtained from the Cause of Death Certificate - Form 9 and Perinatal Supplement (to Cause of Death Certificate) - Form 9A from the Registrar General.
Considerations for feticide:
- Usually for gestations greater than 22 weeks.
- Refer the woman to the closest Level 6 facility with the capability to provide this service.
- If feticide is clinically indicated this should normally be undertaken by injection of potassium under ultrasound guidance.
- Post feticide, a woman may be transferred to another facility for birth if this is considered clinically safe and there is a robust referral process and comprehensive documentation.
