This non-admitted patient service event is the first service event following a service request from a valid service request source to a non-admitted patient service.
Multiple first service event indicators may be recorded if a patient has multiple appointments to different clinics resulting from a single referral, and it is the first service at any of those non-admitted patient services.

Collection Methods
Queensland Health Non-Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHNAPDC):
This indicator is derived as follows in the SATr application and supplied to the Statistical Services Branch (SSB) for first non-admitted patient service events:
- For Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS), the earliest service event (i.e. appointment) date is used to derive this indicator.
- For Enterprise Scheduling Management (ESM), appointments with a new/ review flag of 'new' is used to derive this indicator.
This data element is mapped to the Non-admitted patient service event-first service event indicator (NHDD) data element as follows:
code 1 Yes is mapped to code 1 Yes
All the values in this data element which are not code 1 Yes will map to code 2 No.
