Death Registrations Data Repository:
If the date of death field is null it is derived from the date of death description by finding the first instance of a date in the format of 'DD MONTH YYYY'. If this can be found then the date of death code will be set to 'T'. If a month name cannot be found then an error message will be written to the log file.

If the date of death is not null, it may be formatted as DD/MM/YYYY, MM/YYYY or YYYY. It is converted into date type as appropriate in date of death defaulting day to 1 and month to 1 where necessary.
