Collection and Usage Attributes
Only one diagnosis may be specified as the principal diagnosis.
Queensland Hospital Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHAPDC):
Must not be null.
Validated against list of diagnosis code types.
Every separation must have one and only one PD (Principal diagnosis).
Cannot have an OD (Other diagnosis), EX (External cause), PR (Procedure) or M (Morphology) without a PD (Principal diagnosis).
Queensland Hospital Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHAPDC):
Each clinical code is prefixed by an ICD-10-AM/ACHI code identifier. The codes should be left adjusted and followed by trailing blanks.
Used for epidemiological research, casemix studies; severity of illness analyses; resource utilisation and planning purposes.

The clinical codes should be displayed in applications in the following order:
PD Principal diagnosis
OD Other diagnosis
M Morphology
EX External Cause
PR Procedure
