Demographic, antibiotic profile and typing data of Queensland meningococcal isolates.
All age groups in Queensland. Covers sterile and non-sterile site isolations.

Name, age, sex, city, postcode, site, penicillin Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and breakpoints for tetracycline, spectinomycin, ciprofloxacin, ceftriaxone and rifampicin, serogroup, serotype and subtype.

At the discretion of the Director. Data is supplied to infectious disease specialists and epidemiologists on request. Six monthly summaries are sent to the Coordinator of the Australian Meningococcal Surveillance Programmme for inclusion in the CDI.
Data collected from request forms and analyses performed in the laboratory on isolates submitted for further study.
Reports to QHPSS labs, private pathology labs and the National Neisseria Network.
Only of interest to public health professionals.
