Collection and Usage Attributes
In the case of multiple births, count the number of operations the mother has had, rather than the number of babies born.

Exclude the current birth if by caesarean section.

Record 00 if the woman had no previous caesarean sections.
Queensland Perinatal Data Collection (QPDC):
Must be a number between 00-15 or 99.
Must be >=1 if 04, 05 exists in method of delivery of last birth.
Must be blank if previous pregnancies = 1 or 9.
Previous caesarean sections are associated with a higher risk of obstetric complications, and when used with other indicators provides important information on the quality of obstetric care.
