Generally, LHNs equate to geographic areas, although in some jurisdictions there are special codes assigned to LHNs that cross geographical boundaries.
Corporate Reference Data System (CRDS) Facility data set:
Attribute type is LHNID (Local Hospital Network identifier).
The Local Hospital Network identifier should be able to distinguish between all public hospital administrative areas or units nationally. Only LHN values reportable by Queensland have been included in the value domain of this data element. The METeOR data element includes LHN values for all states and territories.
