Referral Lodgement and Tracking (RLaT) system issues a unique Statewide Service Request Identifier (SSRID) for each request for service process triggered by the receipt of a communication from a party outside of the receiving non-admitted patient service. This allows all parties to track the progress of the requested services from start to finish. RLaT service can be queried as an authoritative source of the current and historical referral status at a state-wide level

RLaT system is the core unit of Integrated Referral Management System (iRMS). that issues SSRID and maintains the referrals related artefacts against the outpatient appointment and waitlist that it receives. RLaT receives information about subsequent service events from iRMS Workflow Solutions and other systems involved in the end-to-end delivery of specialist outpatient services e.g. waitlisting, scheduling and appointment systems such as ieMR Enterprise Scheduling Management (ESM) and Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS).
Queensland Health Non-Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHNAPDC):
If the SSRID is available, then this field must not be null.
The RLaT is integrated with Department of Health (DoH) iRMS Referral Workflow Solution, hence the workflow solutions such as Smart Referrals Workflow Solution (SRWS) will automatically contain the SSRID against the referrals that it receives / registers via RLaT. The SSRID is manually entered into HBCIS and ieMR ESM as they are not directly integrated to receive the SSRID.

Queensland Health Non-Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHNAPDC):
This data element is manually entered by the user in the Appointment Referral Entry screen in HBCIS and in the request/appointment's accept format field in ESM. Even though the SSRID generated by RLaT is only 10 characters, HBCIS can accept up to 15 characters and ESM can accept up to 25 characters for this field.
