Collection and Usage Attributes
Episode of admitted patient care:
- External cause codes in the range V00 to Y89 must be accompanied by a place of occurrence code.
- External cause codes V00 to Y34 must be accompanied by an activity code U50-U73.
Must be a valid ICD-10-AM 11th edition code in the range Y92.0-Y92.9.
ICD-10-AM codes are validated against a number of national and state edits (e.g. combination, CPoA, etc) to improve coding quality.
Queensland Hospital Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHAPDC):
The Place of Occurrence code uses codes from the range Y92.0-Y92.9 and must be sequenced following the External Cause code(s) V00-Y89.
Punctuation is excluded in QHAPDC.
