Information used to inform public health by alerting authorities to individual cases that need to be managed, detect clusters of cases that may identify public health risk, population health data which provides information on patterns of disease.

Demographics, notification reports for clinically diagnosed and provisionally diagnosed notifiable conditions, clinical results and laboratory test results.

The notifiable conditions are:
Acute Rheumatic Fever (ARF)
Legionella pneumophila
Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)
Acute flaccid paralysis
Acute viral hepatitis
Adverse event following immunisation
Australian bat lyssavirus - potential exposure (ie. bat bite, scratch or mucous membrane exposure)
Avian influenza
Ciguatera poisoning
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease
Dengue
Diphtheria
Food or water-borne illness in 2 or more cases
Food or water-borne illness in food handler
Haemolytic uraemic syndrome
