The number of days is calculated from the Patient-presentation date minus the Non-admitted patient care-referral receipt date minus the Not ready for care period.
Verification Rules 
The number of days cannot be a negative number.

When patient initiated rescheduling occurs, waiting time calculation recommences. When hospital initiated rescheduling occurs, waiting time continues to accrue.
This data element allows a meaningful measure of system performance to be calculated.
