Collection and Usage Attributes
MIXC - Mixed wards - Critical Care Service Types
Hospitals that have wards with mixed 'Critical Care Service' specialisation/s should use a standard ward code of 'MIXC'. An example of these would be a ICU/CCU word and/or ICU/HDU wards. This will highlight to DSU that the ward has a Critical Service capability of a mixed nature.

MIXG - Mixed Wards - Non-Critical Care Service Types
Hospitals that have wards with mixed specialisation/s of a 'Non-critical Care' nature should use a standard ward code of 'MIXG'. An example of these could be a maternity / gynae ward, chemotherapy / surgical ward, medical / general acute.
For HBCIS users only: General Wards that do not have any specialisation should simply use a 'NORM' standard ward code. This data is not extracted to DSU.
