Queensland Hospital Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHAPDC):
Must not be null for admitted patient records where Episode of admitted patient care-compensable patient status is code 1 (Workers' Compensation (Queensland)).
Collection Methods
Public hospitals that do not use an electronic patient management system will need to complete a Motor and Work Injury Interview Questionnaire and provide this information to the facility that records their data.
Comment
The workers' compensation data elements are required for a patient who is a Queensland worker with a compensable injury or illness who has elected to be treated as a public patient by a doctor nominated by the hospital, and are used to substantiate a hospital's claim for reimbursement for costs of providing treatment to a patient for compensable injuries.
