Collection and Usage Attributes
All facility codes are numeric with leading zeroes (e.g. "00123").

Exchange of data across information systems should always be based on the numeric facility code.
Queensland Health Non-Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHNAPDC):
The reporting facility identifier data will be used when multiple facilities share the same source system and will enable the activity to be correctly attributed to the facility reporting the activity.

Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS):
This data element is restricted to facilities that share the same HBCIS account with one or more other facilities, as data reported from the one HBCIS account via the Executive Information System (EIS) extract is reported under the one facility identifier.

This data element enables the activity to be correctly attributed to the facility reporting the activity.

The 'reporting facility identifier' data element is captured in the 'Funding Facility' field on the Clinic Codes screen of the HBCIS APP module.

'Funding Facility' is extracted via the EIS Extract to the Healthcare Improvement Unit's (HIU) SATr (Surgical Access Team repository and stored as 'Clinic Facility Code'. This data item is added to the NAP Repository for extraction through the QHNAPDC extract.

On load the QHNAP system takes the 'facility identifier' supplied in the extract from the NAP Repository and overwrites the data with the value provided for 'reporting facility identifier'. The 'reporting facility identifier' remains unchanged and the 'supplied facility identifier' is populated with the original 'facility identifier' supplied (on load).
Non-admitted care provides a consistent framework for counting non-admitted patient service events for statistical, costing and funding purposes.
